Unless a lightning arrester is provided with the controller by its manufacturer, the installer shall hard wire a Paige® Electric 250090LED arrester on the 120/240 line of said controller. This arrester shall incorporate a visible green LED to indicate that the unit is ready to fire in case of a power or lightning surge. The arrester shall be periodically inspected, especially after a lightning storm, to ensure that the LED is on. If the LED is not lit, the arrester shall be replaced with a new one.
